Improve Skin’s Appearance

ADVANCED CHEMICAL PEEL

Advanced Chemical Peels are used to treat wrinkles, discolored skin, and scars — usually on the face.

Our advanced chemical peels are medical grade with more active ingredients meant to be the most effective. They range in depth from light or superficial, medium to deep. Your skincare provider will consult with you, discuss your concerns and assess your skin to decide which peel and how many is the best for you. Advanced chemical peels are best done in a series of 2-4, four to six weeks apart for the best results.

RESULTS

Results are cumulative and the skin improves with each peel in a series. No peeling or very light peeling or flaking can occur for just a day or two with a lighter more superficial, skin brightening peel or heavy peeling for 3-5 days with a deeper peel. The amount of peeling varies from person to person.

 BENEFITS OF ADVANCED CHEMICAL PEELS

01. MINIMIZES ACNE SCARS

As acne heals, the skin creates new collagen fibers in an attempt to repair lesions that have been created by inflamed skin. The production of new collagen fibers can create hypertrophic scars, which are bumpy and raised, or atrophic scars, which create depressions in your skin. A chemical peel can help by exfoliating the top skin layer, which removes excess collagen. Medium chemical peels are typically recommended for acne scars.

02. GREAT FOR AGING SKIN

When skin grows back after a chemical peel, it triggers the production of collagen and elastin. This can help make your skin supple and strong, reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The new skin that grows back is also smoother, which helps decrease roughness and dryness.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • An advanced chemical peel improves skin texture and tone and lessens the appearance of fine wrinkles. The results are subtle but increase with repeated treatments.

  • Immediately after the peel, your skin will feel tight and may be red. Any visible peeling will be light and fluffy and easily controlled with moisturizer. Peeling usually lasts 3-5 days, depending on the actual peel treatment.

  • During an advanced chemical peel, most people feel a burning sensation that lasts about five to ten minutes, followed by a stinging sensation. Putting cool compresses on the skin may ease that stinging. You may need pain medication during or after a deeper peel.

  • Your doctor may advise you to steer clear of cosmetics for 7 to 10 days after your advanced chemical peel, and you might also be advised to wait even longer. Your skin can only benefit from having extra time to heal and breathe. Makeup, after all, isn't very sterile.
