Morpheus8 is a safe and effective device that simultaneously combines the power of microneedling and radiofrequency energy to remodel and contour the face and body. This treatment is minimally invasive and requires little to no downtime for recovery, which makes it a great option for a wide range of patients who don’t have days or weeks to be “down.” The technology works by penetrating deeper into the layers of the dermis below the surface of the skin. The device penetrates the sub-dermal tissue and stimulates collagen production. Of course, you are wondering what the results will be like and how long will it take to see them. When it comes to results, it depends on the individual area being treated and the overall objective of the treatment. In most cases, visible improvements from Morpheus8 treatments may be seen within a few days, but will be most noticeable after about a month and will only continue to improve for the next 4 - 6 months as collagen continues to regenerate. Optimal results are often obtained from multiple sessions over time. Due to the minimally invasive nature of the Morpheus8, proper aftercare is minimal and simple, yet imperative for the best Morpheus8 results. It is recommended that patients do not apply makeup until 1-2 days after treatment to avoid any kind of irritation. If that is not possible, mineral-based makeup is best. It is very normal to have some degree of swelling for a few hours and, on rare occasions, up to a few days following the treatment, along with slight redness similar to a sunburn, depending on the treatment area. Bruising can occur and is most common around the delicate, thin skin around the eyes. These are all minimal and, in most cases, do not last long.
To aid in these common occurrences, specific products will be applied immediately after your Morpheus8 treatment that is also in the post-care product kit you will be given to take home with you. All of these products help with the healing process and enhance your Morpheus8 results. Each kit includes a gentle yet effective medical-grade cleanser, rich healing serum, an appropriate moisturizer, and medical-grade SPF to apply daily. Your S. ‘time flies when you’re having fun,’
but looking back on the past decade I have seen a pipedream flourish into a reality, and it is unbelievable to see how far S. Thetics has come. The growth of our incredible team of expert providers and support staff, our vision, the services we provide, and the beauty and wellbeing industry has been monumental over the past ten years. When I look back at our humble beginnings, I remember opening the doors in 2012 with a small team of 5, thinking our 2500 square foot space was massive! Since then, we have expanded to over 5000 square feet, doubled the number of treatment rooms, and tripled the size of our team! It turns out, a full-service medical spa was exactly what Lawrence, Kansas was missing.
What many people do not realize is that I did not start this journey after college or when I was in my twenties. I did not grow up with the dream of opening my own med spa, in fact, I did not even realize it was an option! I was a stay-at-home mom until my late thirties when I went back to school to officially obtain my esthetics license. Even at that point, I figured it would be a part-time job I could go to a few times a week that had a flexible schedule. I guess it’s safe to say I was wrong! I ended up finding my passion at the age of 39 and I haven’t looked back since!
When we opened in 2012, we were the first premier full-service medical spa in Lawrence.
All I knew was that I wanted to share my passion and knowledge of skincare with others, and I wanted to be different from other med spas in the industry. You can get a facial anywhere, so what was going to set us apart from other spas?
For me, it all came down to the experience. It has never been about selling skincare and making a profit from people with skin or body concerns and insecurities.
It has always been about educating clients and patients about their skin and staying up to date on all the newest skin and body rejuvenation advancements to ensure we are offering the best treatments available.
