diVa laser treatments are the most advanced way to address the following issues: incontinence, laxity, painful intercourse, and lack of lubrication. It is also an ideal treatment for cancer survivors who cannot take hormone supplements.

Before your procedure, our team will obtain a urine sample for testing. You will be given a gown and a pelvic exam will be performed for safety and precaution.

Your provider will apply numbing cream to the treated area and let it set for approximately 30 minutes. After, your provider will gently remove the numbing cream.

Based on your treatment recommendations, your provider will set the device settings to produce your ideal results. The device will be inserted into the vaginal canal to begin resurfacing.

Utilize broad band light The device will fractionally resurface the full length of the vaginal canal. Your provider will watch for the laser rings to indicate completion. Patients will experience a slight pressure against the vaginal wall during laser resurfacing., LED light therapy, and home care in a series of 4-6 treatments

After the procedure, your provider will clean the treated area and go over post care instructions.
Women that have had children or are experiencing menopause may be interested in a resurfacing treatment to improve the quality of their vaginal tissue.
The diVa laser in Lawrence has an ergonomic design that allows for patient comfort and ease of use. Each treatment takes 3 to 5 minutes to fractionally resurface the full length of a vaginal canal.
Patients may choose between 1 and 3 procedures spaced every 4 weeks apart, followed by 1 treatment every 6 – 12 months.
Patients will experience a slight pressure against the vaginal wall during laser resurfacing. The treatment is fast with minimal discomfort. Some patients may experience increased sensitivity near the vaginal opening.
Patients may return to their daily routine with minimal to no discharge, spotting, or discomfort; however, they should avoid sexual intercourse for up to 48 hours. It is also recommended to stay out of hot tubs, baths or pools for up to 48 hours.

No, the diVa laser in Lawrence is a resurfacing treatment is fast, easy and completed in an outpatient setting. Topical anesthetic may be applied to increase patient comfort but is not necessary.
